Food supplement labelling guidance, made easier to navigate.

A redesigned presentation of the client’s existing label-compliance resource, with a clear warning to verify current regulations before use.

LABEL GUIDANCE

Getting a food supplement label right.

The existing resource warns against copying competitor labels because those labels may themselves be non-compliant. It points readers toward official government guidance and authorised nutrition and health claims.

Regulations change. The original resource itself says this guidance should not replace current legal verification and that clients remain responsible for confirming their labels are legal.
LABEL CHECKLIST

Core information highlighted by the existing resource.

01–03

Identity & ingredients

Use the term “Food Supplement”, list ingredients in descending weight order under Product Information, and include the company name and address.

04–06

Dates, NRVs & allergens

Include best-before information, applicable nutrient reference values and suitable allergen warnings with relevant ingredients emphasised.

07–10

Origin, dosage & cautions

Include manufacturing-origin wording, dosage instructions, relevant cautions and warnings, and ensure text is not below required minimum sizes.

IMPORTANT CLAIMS RULE

Do not use unapproved health claims.

The existing guidance explains that health claims must be authorised; otherwise a food-supplement label risks implying medicinal action. It links to official claim databases and government guidance for checking what can be stated for particular ingredients.
